Gelato Nougat

Description

The classic ‘Gelato’ nougat with a traditional taste. The most demanded by lovers of strong and particular flavours.

Over the years it has become one of the typical desserts of province of Reggio, in particular of Reggio Calabria, Taurianova and Bagnara, as well as the city and the whole province of Messina. ‘Torrone Gelato’ is not, unlike its name, an ice-cream, it is rather to be included in the category of soft nougats. Its mixture consists of citrus flavoured essences, and melting sugar in various colors, with the addition of candied fruit and almonds, then the whole mixture is covered with dark chocolate.
